CERTIFICATES OF BIRTH, DEATH, MARRIAGE AND DIVORCECertified copies of Wyoming birth certificates, death certificates, divorce decrees and marriage licenses are available through the State of Wyoming Vital Records Division. Please go to the State of Wyoming’s link: Request an Official Wyoming Certificate - Wyoming Department of Health. This site has the necessary forms for you to print and the instructions for where to mail, how much the “certificate” will cost, and type of proof of ID you will need to send in.

Wyoming birth certificates, death certificates, and divorce decrees are not recorded at the Fremont County Clerk’s office and therefore we are unable to provide you with a copy of any of these documents. Marriage licenses obtained from the Fremont County Clerk are recorded with the Fremont County Clerk’s office. If obtained from a different county in Wyoming, the license will be recorded in that county, not Fremont County. Please see below if you would like to obtain a copy from our office instead of the Wyoming Vital Records Department.

Certified copies of marriage licenses are also available with the Fremont County Clerk’s office if that is where you obtained your marriage license. If you need proof of your marriage, wish to change your name on your driver’s license or social security number, you will need a certified copy of your marriage license. To obtain a certified copy of your marriage license please complete the Certified Marriage Application. This can only be produced after we have received and recorded the license. After you have completed the form, print the form and mail to us with payment of $5.00 per requested certified copy.
